For many companies, IT consulting is no longer a voluntary investment but is now a regulatory necessity. NIS2 obliges affected companies to carry out documented risk analyses and to have a documented IT security strategy. The NIS2 Implementation Act has been in force in Germany since 6 December 2025 for companies with 50 or more employees or an annual turnover of 10 million euros in relevant sectors. DORA places comparable requirements on financial companies and their ICT service providers and has been mandatory since January 2025.
