In our white paper on the NIS 2 Directive, we categorise the specific legal framework that applies in Germany and show what companies need to know and consider now - in a factual, structured and practical way.
The NIS 2 Directive aims to create a uniformly high level of cybersecurity in the EU and to strengthen the resilience of organisations in the long term. Companies in critical and important sectors are obliged to implement binding minimum standards and work more closely with the relevant authorities. National implementation has now been finalised with the NIS 2 Implementation Act. It specifies responsibilities within the organisation, binding reporting obligations and deadlines, the extended group of affected companies and possible sanctions in the event of breaches. Particularly relevant: Cybersecurity explicitly becomes a management task. Management and supervisory bodies bear organisational and legal responsibility for effective security, reporting and response processes.
