This training is aimed at beginners in test automation and provides practical guidance on creating automated web test cases with Selenium. Participants will learn how to set up a Selenium project with Maven, use WebDriver, and develop and execute test cases in Java. In addition to an introduction to Selenium WebDriver and the client API, the TestNG test framework will be integrated to organise tests systematically into test suites. Step-by-step, functional test cases will be created for a demo web application, including proper object handling and fundamental best practices. The training is rounded off with the basics of source code management and proven concepts such as the Page Object Model and synchronisation techniques. This will give participants a solid foundation for stable and maintainable Selenium projects.
