UFT Basics – Introduction to Test Automation

This training is aimed at test automation beginners who want to learn how to use OpenText UFT efficiently. The goal is to systematically create and execute automated test cases and evaluate their results – even without deep programming knowledge. Participants will receive an introduction to business-driven test automation, get to know the basic functions of UFT, and discover the user interface and the most important features such as the Object Repository and Object Spy. Through practical exercises, they will create GUI test scripts for demo applications, parametrise them, and design maintainable test cases including result reports. The training is rounded off with tips and best practices for stabilising test scripts, strategies for minimising automation effort, and achieving quick wins. In this way, participants will lay a solid foundation for advanced UFT training courses.
