We are targeting beginners who want to understand container technology and use it for application virtualisation. You will receive a solid introduction to the historical development, key concepts, and technical foundations of modern container solutions. The focus is on tools such as Docker and Podman, the distinction from virtual machines, and typical use cases in development and project environments. Participants will learn to create containers, manage images, use registries, and configure containers using networks, volumes, and environment variables. Practical exercises, best practices, and security-related aspects ensure that the knowledge can be directly applied and integrated into existing processes – including in agile environments.
