QAptain Version 1: accompio releases AI-powered solution for test automation

On 01.07.2026, accompio PrimeTec GmbH will release with Captain a proprietary software for AI-powered test automation. The solution helps companies to accelerate test processes and ensure efficient and reliable quality assurance, even with increasing development speed.

With the increasing use of AI in software development, the number of releases and thus the demands on quality assurance are growing. As development processes become increasingly faster, manual testing procedures often reach their limits. QAptain addresses this very point: the solution automatically generates test code from test cases described in natural language and integrates seamlessly into existing QA processes.

QAptain analyses a running application, identifies the relevant UI elements, and generates maintainable, reproducible test automation code from them. With version 1, QAptain includes, among other things:

• Automated generation of test scripts from natural language test cases
• Selenium support in Java
• Integration into existing test and development environments, including Jira, GitHub, GitLab and Gitea
