Berlin/Potsdam, 21 May 2025. The Accompio group of companies continues to grow: As of 5 May 2025, Kern AI GmbH is now part of the Accompio family. The integration of the company specialising in Artificial Intelligence marks a strategically significant step in expanding the service portfolio and strengthening technological expertise within the group. Kern AI's clients include well-known insurers such as Markel Insurance SE, HDI Global Specialty, and Nürnberger Versicherung, among others. The transaction was supported by EOS Partners GmbH, a private equity investor focused on medium-sized companies.
Kern AI was founded in 2020 by Johannes Hötter and Henrik Wenck. The two managing directors met during their studies and developed a shared vision early on for the user-centric and responsible application of Artificial Intelligence. With innovative technologies and practical services, Kern AI has rapidly established itself as a specialist in AI-supported data processing.
As part of the integration, Simon Berger is strengthening the management team as an additional managing director. The expertise of Kern AI will be specifically integrated into the structures of the Accompio group in the coming months in order to unlock joint innovation potential.
