UFT Basics – Introduction to Test Automation

This training is aimed at beginners in test automation who want to learn how to use Micro Focus UFT efficiently. The goal is to systematically create, execute, and evaluate automated test cases – even without in-depth programming knowledge. Participants will receive an introduction to business-driven test automation, learn the basic functions of UFT, discover the user interface, and the most important features such as Object Repository and Object Spy. In a practical setting, they will create GUI test scripts for demo applications, parameterise them, and design maintainable test cases, including results reports. The training is rounded off with tips and best practices for stabilising test scripts, strategies for minimising automation effort, and achieving quick wins. This provides participants with a solid foundation for further UFT training.
