„What we do today shapes the future of our children“ – under this guiding principle, mod organised a family event. On 19.11.2022, many colleagues from mod IT and their families met up in the Lower Saxony State Forests to make a positive contribution to the climate balance and spend time together with the mod community.
In the already wintry, snow-covered forest of the Lauenberg forestry district, a special action was carried out this morning – a total of 1,000 sweet chestnuts were planted. The sweet chestnut, well-adapted to warm temperatures and dry soils due to its Mediterranean origins, plays an important role in the context of climate change and offers an advantage for the forest. By planting these trees, the participants actively contributed to the sustainable development of nature.
In addition to the planting activity, there was a special highlight for the youngest participants – the construction of mod-branded birdhouses. These birdhouses were designed with great attention to detail and are intended to provide nesting aid for native birds in their own gardens. In this way, mod employees and their families are contributing a small part to species conservation and making a valuable contribution to the preservation of the native bird population.
Aside from the outdoor activities, participants also enjoyed the delicious catering and the bright sunshine. The good atmosphere and camaraderie contributed to an all-around successful day. It was not only an opportunity to act sustainably, but also to spend time together and strengthen the mod community.
The event held by the MOD for the whole family was a complete success. It combined sustainability and community, leaving a positive footprint for future generations.
Finally, a big thank you to YOU for your active support. It is inspiring to see how much can be achieved when people work together for a good cause.
