Next Level IT: Accompio acquires Kern AI and anchors artificial intelligence at the core of the group of companies
The integration of the AI specialist strengthens Accompio’s innovative power and expands its service portfolio to include intelligent data processing and automated services.
Berlin/Potsdam, 21. Mai 2025. The Accompio Group continues to grow: Kern AI GmbH has been part of the Accompio family since May 5, 2025. The integration of the company, which specializes in artificial intelligence, marks a strategically significant step towards expanding the service portfolio and strengthening technological expertise within the Group. Kern AI’s customers include well-known insurance companies such as Markel Insurance SE, HDI Global Specialty and Nürnberger Versicherung. The transaction was accompanied by EOS Partners GmbH, a private equity investor focused on medium-sized companies.
Kern AI was founded in 2020 by Johannes Hötter and Henrik Wenck. The two managing directors met during their studies and developed a shared vision for the user-centered and responsible application of artificial intelligence early on. Mit innovativen Technologien und praxisnahen Services hat sich Kern AI rasch als Spezialist für KI-gestützte Datenverarbeitung etabliert.
As part of the integration, Simon Berger joins the management team as an additional managing director. Kern AI’s expertise will be specifically integrated into the structures of the Accompio Group in the coming months in order to leverage joint innovation potential.
